ZhuZhu Pets Quest for Zhu Review & Giveaway

Okay parents--how many ZhuZhu Pets do you have in your home? We have 3 in our home, that my 4 year old plays with. I have to admit--I think they are pretty cute too. Well the ZhuZhu pets are coming to "life" in the all new movie from Universal Studios Home Entertainment, Quest for Zhu (on DVD and Digital Download)!  Your kids will finally be able to hear their favorite ZhuZhu hamsters speak!

Here is the synopsis of the ZhuZhu Pets: Quest for Zhu from the back of the DVD case:

The heartwarming tale of four lively young teens (who just happen to be hamsters) on a quest to find the Palace of Zhu, where they believe all their dreams will come true.

Join the feisty and lovable Pipsqueak as she gets swept away to the other side of the Zhuniverse. On her adventure, she befriends Chuck, Num Nums and Mr Squiggles, and when they arrive at the Palace of Zhu, they realize it is just the beginning of their remarkable journey. A mean and controlling reptilian creature, Mezhula, tries to stand in the way of making all their dreams come true but by working together, our true Zhu heroes save the day! Pipsqueak realizes she already had everything she ever dreamed of and all she really wants is to find a way back home.

Bonus Feature includes 2 Fun Sing-Along Music Videos--"Celebrate" and "ABC"!

We were able to watch the Quest for Zhu before it is even available in stores (available on September 27). My 4 year old was quite excited. He had to grab his physical ZhuZhu pets so they could watch it with him. We watched Quest for Zhu as a family and with a couple of my 4 year old's friends and let me just say--it was a hit. The storyline was something even an adult could enjoy and I think having a toy that you own come to life makes the movie (and the toy) more magical. We all enjoyed the music (we are huge music fans) but now worries--if you are not a fan of musical type kids shows--the music was only at the beginning and the end, so I think it would be tolerable for you as well. I loved Pipsqueak--I love her fiestiness. My 4 year old loved Mr Squiggles (I think mostly because he has him as a toy). I also liked that there was a lesson to be learned in the movie (yep--I am still a parent first)!  I personally think that most any child would enjoy the Quest for Zhu, especially if they own or would like to own a ZhuZhu pet. I also noticed that they have created the Quest for Zhu Nintendo DS game to take the adventure even further.
