Start Your Kids Off Right This Year With Goal For It

It is a new year and that means resolutions for many of us.  Have you thought about your kids?   Maybe they need to get into the habit of making their bed every day, caring for a pet, doing the dishes or homework without a fight.

At our house things have gotten a little crazy this past month.  Between Christmas, our daughter's birthday, a short trip to Chicago, and school being out for a few weeks it seems everything has gotten off track, so starting today I am introducing a Chore Chart to our daughter who is now four.

The idea of this chore chart is create a level of responsibility for our daughter, that until now she has not had.  For us we only ask that she cleans up her toys, puts her laundry in the hamper and dishes in the sink.  It is not much, but with the GoalForIt.com chore chart (which is FREE) she will know what is expected of her and will have a sense of accomplishment when she has completed a task.

Each chart is personalized with your child's name, background that would most appeal to them.  The chores that they are responsible for as well as the tracking and result of each.  My hope is that this chart not only serves as a reminder of what needs to be done but also what has been done so that we can reward accordingly.

If you have tweens/tweens don't worry they have chore charts for them as well as goal setting, and to do lists.  GoalForIt.com is a free service that in my opinion could really improve your child's outlook on what needs to be done around the house as well as give them a sense of security and routine which I personally believe is vital to childhood success.
