Mrs. Dash Review and Giveaway

Do you know what the recommended daily salt intake is? Don't feel bad, according to a recent study 71% of Americans do not know the answer is 2,300 milligrams (about one teaspoon).

The Food Network's Robin Miller, Quick Fix Meals, has teamed up with Mrs. Dash to create some practical tips to lower your sodium intake without giving up any of the flavor you love.

Thanks to Mrs. Dash I was able to try several of her blends. Tonight my husband fired up the BBQ and tried all five blends on both beef and pork. I will admit this was my first time using Mrs. Dash and I am the person who adds salt to everything, sometimes before I have even tasted my food. I am not sure what I expected, but I was surprised at how flavorful they were.

In fact I shared them with friends to see what they would have to say. My first tester used the Table Blend on meatloaf and said she did not realize that Mrs. Dash could bring out as much flavor as adding salt. Friday night was taco night and one guest used the Fiesta Lime on his taco, he was very impressed with the "kick" it added.

Overall I think that the Table Blend went over best at our house.

Mrs. Dash is so excited to help us reduce salt in our diets that they would like to offer one My Springfield Mommy reader a variety pack of 5 bottles of Mrs. Dash.

Giveaway will end Sunday August, 1st at 8pm

I reduce salt due to being diabetic and just because I want to remain as healthy as I am. Mrs. Dash is a wonderful substitute for salt in our house.

reducing salt is important to me simply because I know my family eats too much of it. I'm trying to find ways to cut down on the sodium without gaining a revolt :D , and eliminating salt from spice blends is one easy way to do so!
