Links provided may be from affiliate programs which help support this blog. Thanks for clicking!

These two great pay it forward ideas prove that you can learn something new every day. If you have leftover Halloween candy or just want to do something to help our troops think about these two programs.

First, Operation Gratitude is a nonprofit, volunteer-based organization that seeks to lift the morale of service-members by sending care packages.

Set up a table or box where leftover candy can be donated. It can then be sent to Operation Gratitude, which will include it in care packages.

Mail the candy to:

Operation Gratitude/California Army National Guard

17330 Victory Blvd.

Van Nuys, CA 91406

To learn more about Operation Gratitude, go to the Operation Gratitude website.

Ask your neighbors if they are interested in helping you with this neat "pay it forward" opportunity. Shipping could get pricey-you might want to ask all people who are participating to donate $1.00 to help out to cover the shipping costs! Also-you might want to include a personalized note! Just stating that you are wishing the troops a safe November and where you are from!

Here's another way to put your Halloween candy to good use:
