Have you tried the new $4.99 combo meals at Wendy's?

If you have not, you are missing out on some really tasty food. My husband and I went to Wendy's this afternoon for an early dinner. My husband decided to try a half-size Garden Sensation salad and an order of chili as part of the $4.99 combo. This new combo menu lets you choose a half-sized version of one of the new salads, plus one of seven items from Wendy’s menu (Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger, Chili, Baked Potato, grilled or spicy homestyle chicken Go Wrap, Dasani bottled water, small Frosty or other small beverage). Wendy’s new combination meals are available for $4.99 and half-sized Garden Sensations salads are available for $3.99.

Wendy's has four great salads:
- Apple Pecan Chicken Salad, a perfect mix of peak-season red and green apples, real blue cheese crumbles, sweet cranberries and roasted pecans, topped with warm grilled chicken

- Baja Salad, a hearty Southwestern salad that features fresh pico de gallo, guacamole and Wendy’s original chili, all topped with a red jalapeno dressing

- Spicy Chicken Caesar Salad, offering hand-chopped Romaine lettuce and sweet grape tomatoes topped with shaved Asiago cheese and warm spicy chicken

- BLT Cobb Salad, which mixes crispy Applewood Smoked Bacon with real blue cheese crumbles, hard-boiled eggs, tomatoes and an avocado ranch dressing

My husband opted for the Baja Salad and he really enjoyed it. The chili on the salad along with the seasoned tortilla strips and the red jalapeno dressing were all great touches. He ate the entire salad as well as his cup of chili. We are both eager to go back to Wendy's and try the other 3 salads.
