What Do You Hand Out On Halloween?

Last night we took our daughter to a local "Trunk or Treat" event. For those who do not know, Trunk or Treating is usually hosted by a church and the parish members set up their cars in the parking lot and decorate them for Halloween and the kids are able to visit each car and get a treat. They are then invited inside for a snack and sometimes a craft event or a movie.

Since this is her first year to really understand the idea of Halloween she had a blast. When she visited the first car and got her first pieces of candy, a Hershey bar and a sucker, she was done all she wanted to do was go home and eat it. When we told her that she had more cars to visit she was honestly amazed.

Earlier this week Hershey's sent me a Halloween sample pack, needless to say I was more than happy to help out on this project. This year Hershey's has taken their treats to a new level. You will find your Reese's Peanut Butter Cups (the number one candy treat each year) and have turned them into pumpkins, the Hershey Kiss is dressed in silver and orange.

No matter your age Hershey's Halloween site offers everything from costume ideas, party themes, simple crafts and of course candy and games. You will even find money savings offers, downloadable stencils and ideas to share with your child classroom.

I would love to know:
What are you going to be this year for Halloween?
How about your kids?
What do you hand out every year?
What is your child's favorite treat?

Thanks to Hershey's for my candy, I am sure my trick r treaters will enjoy!
