Publish Your Own Book With LuLu.com Review & Giveaway

Links provided may be from affiliate programs which help support this blog. Thanks for clicking!

Do you have a story bouncing around in your head, that you would love to see published & introduced to the world? Do you have photos you would like to have printed into a photo book? Would you like to put together a family cookbook that you can have printed for just yourself or to share with the entire family? If so, check out Lulu.com!
Lulu.com is your do-it-yourself (or with a bit of help along the way) source for online book publishing. Lulu.com helps you create your book in a matter of minutes: simply upload your work, choose how you want your work displayed (type of paper, size of book, binding etc), publish it with a click of your mouse & print, distribute &/or sell your book as you desire--yourself only, few family & friends or world distribution/sales. You only pay for the printing of your masterpiece (the publishing is free). Lulu.com can help you deliver your work to the global marketplace to sell at places including Amazon.com and Barnes & Nobel if you would like to sell your work. They can also help you convert your work into a format that many e-readers use. They also offer CD/DVD options for your various works (music, videos, documents etc) as well.

Lulu.com also has plenty of options for your more personalized, private publishing needs as well. They offer photo books, calendars, cookbooks, wedding books, portfolios and more, all of which can be printed & distributed as you see fit. So don't be afraid to check them out if you would prefer only one or a few copies of your work.

Lulu.com also provides some excellent resources to assist you in your publishing needs--some are free of charge, like the blog & forum, and some services are at a cost, but may be well worth the money spent, depending on your needs.

If you are not interested in publishing anything but you really enjoy reading or checking out what others have published, Lulu.com has a great selection of books for purchase at great prices.
I was able to make a Lulu.com photo book. I made an 8X8 hardcover book. Uploading the pictures was quite easy and really did not take very long (I used 52 pictures in my book). Lulu.com does have an Auto fill option--which simply loads the pictures into the book for you--I chose to do it myself and that was easy as well--simply click & drag the picture on the page where you wanted it, sort of a fill in the blank format. I could easily change my page to accommodate the number of pictures & amount of journaling I wanted on each page. You have several font & book theme choices to choose from. I kept it very simple for my first book. Once I was completely satisfied with my work, I went ahead & had it printed.  It was mailed to me a few days later. I came secured to a larger piece of cardboard inside the shipping box, so it wasn't at risk of being dinged up during delivery. The binding is strong and the pages are not at all flimsy. My child has looked through the book several times already and I feel this book will hold up to normal usage without any problem! I am very pleased with the quality of book that was delivered to me, as well as the ease of  completing the photo book.

So I would definitely recommend that you check out Lulu.com for all your publishing needs, no matter how big or small! They have a lot to offer you!
