QVC Day of Beauty on Friday January 21st!

On Friday, January 21, 2011, QVC is having an entire day devoted to Beauty. They are calling the Program "The Beautiful You" and they are encouraging you to indulge a little and try something new! During this 24 hour event (see program schedule), QVC will offer a wide variety of skin care, cosmetics, hair care, nail care & more for you to try out and help bring out the little extra (since you are always beautiful) beautiful in you.

QVC allowed me to try out a few of the items that will be available during their "The Beautiful You" event, and after trying out these few products I am quite excited to see what else they will be offering that day! 

The first product I tried out was a Detox Eye Roller Intense Therapy w/ FAB Antioxident Booster by FAB (First Aid Beauty). Its purpose is to alleviate undereye puffiness & dark circles. It is allergy tested, fragrance free, has no parabens, harsh chemicals or colorants. I must admit, I was in desperate need of it this morning and I did notice an improvement shortly after application. I will definitely continue to use it!

Next, I used Josie Maran's Organic Argan Oil Moisturizer. I used it as my facial moisturizer under my makeup, but it can also be used to treat split ends, condition cuticles, as a bath oil or as a spot or all over moisturizer. I have learned to just enough beauty news to discover that Argan oil is the latest discovery in beauty products. It is an excellent source of antioxidants & essential fatty acids required to keep your skin & hair remain youthful & beautiful naturally. I was a bit worried that it would be too oily for my skin type, but I have not found that to be the case, even though it comes out of the bottle like an oil, it quickly absorbed into my skin, leaving it feeling refreshed and I did not have oil problems with my face the remainder of the day either. This is a great multi-purpose product!

Next, I tried out the Ultra Repair Cream, Intense Therapy, Skin Protectant w/ FAB Antioxidant Booster. I used this on my dry, chapped hands and it left them feeling well moisturized and not at all greasy. The container stated that its purpose is to "Hydrate dry, parched skin. Relieve minor skin irritation & itching due to eczema and other conditions. For face and elsewhere. The Ultra Repair cream is allergy tested, fragrance free, has no parabens, harsh chemicals or colorants. It contains colloidal oatmeal, ceramides & eucalyptus oil to help repair you skins balance. It definitely work great on my hands. I did notice a slight eucalyptus scent from the bottle but could not smell it once it was on my hands.

Finally, I tried out some of Mally's cosmetics, including eye shadow duo--base & shimmering taupe, Cancellation Concealer system--Eyelight setting powder & Cream Concealer & double end brush, Lip Color in Blossom, Volumizing mascara in Black and Evercolor Automatic waterproof eyeliner in black. Mally's cosmetics are designed to last all day long without the need to touch up. I think they did a great job of that. They are definitely quality cosmetics. I liked that there was a book included in my "starter kit" to explain how everything should be applied. The only problem I had with the products is that I am not used to my eyeliner being that rich, smooth & easily applied so my first eye was way darker than I would normally wear it--but I learned & applied it more gently on the second attempt and got it right.

I really like all the products I got to try out and I am looking forward to checking out QVC's "The Beautiful You!" all day on Friday, January 21st to see what other great products they offer!
