Having a daughter that is starting to get into dance and gymnastics, I was excited to get a copy of Shawn Johnson Gymnastics to try out for my Wii system. This game is created by Zoo Games.
My daughter is still a little too young to try this game out, but she certainly enjoyed watching the action on the screen...and there really is some good action in this game. You train and compete in all four apparatuses in women's gymnastics; uneven bars, balance beam, floor and vault. You perform these routines by using the Wii Remote and Nunchuk to execute the different required moves. In the cases where there are a series of moves to perform you have to stay on your toes as you operate both controllers. As you advance, you can choreograph your own routines. Throughout the game, you get great advice from Olympic Gold Medalist All Around Champion, Shawn Johnson.
There is a really fun career mode where you work your way up the gymnastics ladder from amateur to champion. By nailing your routines, you will unlock cool bonuses. In addition to career mode you can challenge up to eight friends in multiplayer. I can definitely see this would be a fun game at parties.

This game is also available for the Nintendo DS. On this system, the players leverage the stylus to draw and create patterns on the device's touch sensitive screen in order to the in-game character to perform different moves and motions.

my favorite apparatus is the uneven bars i love seeing how taltented some gymnists are and this must take some crazy upper body strengh and it always looks neat to see people using them

I always love doing vault, beam, and floor
My favorite is trampoline because we like to jump
I like the floor mainly because they have routines that are different. Watching the others, they have a lot of the same technics and the floor is something different with each gymnast.
