"Point to Happy: For Children On The Autism Spectrum" Book Review & Giveaway

Links provided may be from affiliate programs which help support this blog. Thanks for clicking!
Did you know that April is Autism Awareness Month.  Workman Publishing has just released a book that is the first of its kind and geared specifically for children on the autism spectrum.

My daughter is not autistic, but I was very interested to receive a copy of the book "Point to Happy: For Children On The Autism Spectrum". This is a fun and interactive book that features a hand with a pointer finger extended on a stick that your child holds and points to the different pictures you ask them about.  My daughter got a lot out of this book and enjoyed pointing out the colors, pictures, shapes and more that I quizzed her about.  I can see how this would be a great resource for autistic children, but I would assert that this is a great teaching tool for all children.

Right now, you can get "Point to Happy" at Amazon for $13.57.

Thanks to Workman Publishing, one lucky My Springfield Mommy reader will win a copy of "Point to Happy".

My beautiful daughter has Down Syndrome and Autism. The pointer is a great idea because she does not always use her finger to point to things, she will use her elbow or foot. Since she is non verbal I would be interested if she would identify things in the book. I know she is very bright.

I would hope to be able to help our son who is on the autism spectrum to learn to point to things, instead of touching them.
