Alabu has been bringing us the option of all-natural, handmade soap and skin care products that are gentle and help to moisturize the skin since 2000. They currently carry soaps, facial moisturizers, lotion, body butter and lip balms which they formulate using only the finest natural ingredients without the use of artificial colors, preservatives, fillers or water, making products that are both safe and effective.

I was introduced to 3 Alabu skin care products (description from press release):
Alabu Goat Milk Soap:  contains more than 25% goats milk renowned for moisturizing the skin, restoring smoothness and adding shine. As its rich nutrients are highly valuable for most skin types, Alabu's goat milk soap is naturally fortified with vitamins A and D, which protect and strengthen the skin. Each bar of soap is targeted toward individual needs and skin care types, whether it's dry, oily or combination skin.

Alabu Original Shea Body Butter: uses natural ingredients like shea butter, olive oil, jojoba, and Vitamin E to deliver and extensive, long-lasting butter that truly saturates the skin. It also contains beeswax to help lock in moisture, allowing your skin to be protected and moisturized for hours. With harsh, dry weather conditions only increasing through the fall and winter months simple daily jobs like washing dishes can leave skin craving moisture--fortunately, the Alabu Shea Body Butter offers just that.

Alabu Lip Balm: Lips are particularly vulerable because the skin is so thin. With Alabu Lip Balm, lips stay moisturized, smooth and soft, ridding unsightly and often painful characteristics of chapped lips. Alabu Lip Balm offers the long-lasting protection of beeswax and moisturizing abilities of coconut and olive oil.

I was able to test out 3 of their items. 1) Alabu classics all-natural moisturizing cleansing bar in Lavender Delight: this goats milk soap feels and smells wonderful--lavender with a touch of Ylang Ylang and Sweet Orange essential oil. It didn't leave my skin feeling dry and tight like many soaps do and the fragrance is perfect for a bit of relaxation the many people need following the holidays and all year long.  2)  Shea Body Butter in Tea Tree with jojoba & calendula--this has been a little bit of heaven for me lately--my hands have been taking a beating and just a little bit of this worked into them makes then feel and look instantly better! The stick form makes it easily portable so I can reapply whenever I need.   3) Lip Balm in Original--goes on smoothly and left my lips feeling moisturized.

I am quite happy with how well the Alabu skin care products have worked for me and I think they would make great gifts or stocking stuffers for people in your life.
