The Learning Company, a division of Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, the world's largest provider of educational products and solutions for children from PreK to Grade 12. The Learning Company has added 2 new colorful workbook series to their extensive line of research based educational products.
The new Curious George and Reader Rabbit workbook series help connect home and school while offering a blend of print and online activities to give children a fun multi-media format that children will enjoy and learn from. Each series contains 12 workbooks that reinforces key early learning concepts and help to build essential pre-K to 1st grade math and literacy skills. Research shows that parent-guided opportunities for informal learning in reading writing and math are critical to a child's success in school and beyond. Parents can create individualized online accounts to activate the free games and a printable PDF version of each workbook along with personalized certificates of completion to celebrate the child's successes along the way.

Here is the synopsis of the The Learning Company Learning With Curious George series from their website:
There’s no better way to ignite your child’s curiosity for learning than with Curious George at the ready! With more than 200 activities featuring everyone’s favorite mischievous monkey and his friends, the complete series provides age-appropriate, kid-friendly content to encourage an understanding of preschool and kindergarten math and reading concepts along with a love of learning.

Here is the synopsis of The Learning Company Reader Rabbit: Let's Learn series from their website:
Reader Rabbit has been a trusted learning companion to young children for more than 20 years. This series of workbooks provides more than 200 colorful and engaging activities to help build essential kindergarten and first-grade reading and math skills and nurture your child’s self-confidence.

I was given one of each series to check out, the Learning With Curious George: Preschool Reading and Reader Rabbit: Let's Learn Kindergarten Reading. I am always looking for fun ways to help my preschooler progress with his school work and I am impressed with both of these series of books. The Learning With Curious George: Preschool Reading is perfect for my 4 year old now and having Curious George as part of the series really helps to make it fun and keeps his attention. He loves the online games as well! The Reader Rabbit Series looks as equally beneficial and I am keeping this workbook to work with him next summer as he prepares to enter kindergarten.

The Learning with Curious George and Reader Rabbit: Let's Learn series would make a great gifts for parents and children who are taking their first steps in learning to read, write and math.
