Way Basics Is Building Possibilities

 I live in a home that has limited storage and I am always looking for creative and aesthetically pleasing ways to create additional storage. I was recently introduced to a company called Way Basics, whose founder, Jimmy, was inspired to create usable furniture from recycled materials--papers in particular, his first creation was a recycling bin, which I think is really neat (I have it on my wish list).

Recycle bins are not all that Way Basics offers, they also offer Storage Cubes, Bookcases, Storage Bench, Cube Storage, Tables & Stools, Storage Baskets, Trash & Recycling and more. 

Way Basics products require some assembly, but it amazingly easy--you simply peel the cover from the amazingly strong 3M brand adhesive, stick the pieces together as instructed and you are done. It took my husband less than 5 minutes to put our storage cube together. I am completely amazed at how strong the bond actually is--the storage cube isn't at all wobbly. 

Way Basics prides themselves in providing products that are safe for you and your family. You do not need to worry about their products polluting the air in your home, they are free of Formaldehyde and VOC. The specially designed zBoards they use in their products are made form 99% post consumer recycled paper and they do not consume any additional natural resources (plus, they are 100% recyclable). Even their glue is environmentally friendly!

 

 

I just have one of their Storage Cubes in Espresso and I am impressed with the strength of the product and how finished it looks.  The assembly was so quick and easy that my husband had it completely put together before I even thought to tell him to get a picture of the assembly process. I think cubes are a great way to customize the furniture to fit your own personal space and personality. Even though I went basic, I loved all the colors that are available, great for toy rooms. I would love to get the  colorful Charlotte Table Set for the toy room as well!  There are so many uses I can see for their products throughout our house that I have added this Way Basics website to my favorites. so I can easily find them in the future.
