Just In Time For Easter: Jim Henson's Dinosaur Train EGGSTRAVAGANZA

Jim Henson's Dinosaur Train is one of my son's favorite television series on PBS KIDS,  so he was super excited to discover he could celebrate Easter with Buddy, Tiny, Shiny & Don with the release of Jim Henson's Dinosaur Train EGGSTRAVAGANZA on DVD.

If you are not familiar with Dinosaur Train, it is a EMMY- nominated animated children's series which airs on PBS KIDS. It is educational and inspiring while being entertaining. It is aimed age children ages 3-6 and it's mission is to introduce kids to paleontology and sciences, while teaching acceptance of others regardless of differences (my favorite message within the show)!

Here is the synopsis of Jim Henson's Dinosaur Train EGGSTRAVAGANZA from the back of the DVD case:

Dinosaur Train embraces and celebrates the fascination that preschoolers have with both dinosaurs and trains while sparking an interest in life science, natural history, and paleontology. 

 

Eggstravaganza
Buddy and Don stumble upon a mystery when they find unhatched eggs on their beach.  Soon all the kids join in to solve the mystery, as they figure out that the eggs belong to an overprotective, caring mom named Olivia Oviraptor who is just trying to keep her eggs safe.

Dinosaur Train Eggstravaganza is available in stores now and while the egg related theme makes it a perfect addition to the Easter Basket, it is a DVD young kids will enjoy all year long and it is one parents can feel comfortable allowing their children to watch, I definitely do! 

If you have a Dinosaur Train fan in your midst, you need to check out the PBS KIDS Dinosaur Train website to sign them up for the Dinosaur Train Nature Tracker Club! Through the Nature Tracker Club, they will enjoy having adventures and exploring their environment by collecting, tracking and observing plants and animals, learning respect for the environments and it encourages them to get outside and make new discoveries each day! Lots of fun things to do with new things added at least monthly! 

And to add to the EGG-citement, you can print out a free Dinosaur Train egg holder for your child to color, cut out (with your help) and proudly display their beautifully colored eggs!
