Jim Henson's Dinosaur Train has become one of the most popular children's show airing on PBS Kids. I have found that it promotes equality and understanding, while teaching positive morals, as well as science/paleontology. My son (and I) love this show and all it portrays. We watch it pretty much every morning, if we can't catch it live on television, I always find various episodes and clips from the show on PBS Kids Video Player.
Jim Henson's Dinosaur Train has expanded beyond their television show to include a great interactive Dinosaur Train
website, which is loaded with games, videos and printables to keep your
kids busy and positively entertained. Their show has made it onto
several videos and their favorite characters--Buddy, Tiny, Shiny and Don
and more--and places into fun toys, games and books, any of which would
make a wonderful addition to an Easter basket.
Ride Along the Dinosaur Train
(2013) is a fun, new, interactive board book from Grosset & Dunlap
that would be perfect for the little ones (ages 3+) in your life. It
combines a fun story with a train at the top that kids can slide along
the top of the book and visit each stop along the with the Dinosaur
Train. Here's the synopsis of Ride Along the Dinosaur Train! from the back of the book:
Climb aboard the Dinosaur Train with Buddy and his family. Use the movable train to ride along and make each stop on the way: Ankylosaurus Acres, Cretoxyrhina Coral, Deinonychus Depot, and Quetzalcoatlus Canyon!
Over the past couple of years, I have discovered that you really can't go wrong with anything Dinosaur Train
when it comes to our preschoolers regardless of gender--girls and boys
love the show. Parents love the fact that children are learning while
they are being entertained. If you have a preschooler in your life, I am
betting they would love to find the book, Ride Along the Dinosaur Train in their Easter basket!
Thank you to Dinosaur Train for my sample used in this review, opinions are honest. Review by Michelle.
