Spontuneous The Game Where Lyrics Come to Life! Review & Giveaway

Are you the type of person that when you hear someone say a specific word, you get a song that pops into your head? If you are like that, then I have a game that you absolutely have to try called Spontuneous: The Game Where Lyrics Come to Life!  Spontuneous is defined as acting on the natural tendency or impulse to burst into song.

Below is a clip from The Today Show that aired last week that included Spontuneous. 

The game is really simple and fun to play: One player (Tunesmith) says a word and the others race against each other and the clock to try and blurt out a 5-word portion of lyrics from any song containing the given Trigger-Word! The player who begins singing first, gets to roll the dice and advance around the board! If nobody can sing a song, the Tunesmith must be able to back it up with a song of their own, or else they roll both dice and move backwards. As players advance around the board, certain spaces will require them to draw a Spontuneous Card and attempt the crazy challenge! Whoever reaches finish first and completes the final challenge, wins the game!

The game is recommended for ages 9 to adult and for 4-10 players.  Because there are so many different genres of music, this game can be played and enjoyed by all ages. Also, since there are so many different trigger words that players can come up with, every game will be different. Having played this game a number of times over the past few days, I can say that it is a lot of fun and often challenging.  The pressure to come up with at least 5 words with one of which being the trigger word first adds to the challenge.  The different levels of difficulty that the trigger words can be add to the fun. Some words that my friends came up with made it easy to sing a number of different songs. Other times a word caused all of the players to have to really stop and think to come up with a song.
