Head to the Illinois State Museum this Saturday, June 14th for this month's free Super Saturday event.
Here is the information about it from the Illinois State Museum website:
Super Saturdays at the Museum: On the Road Again! Capturing Travel Memories
- Location: Illinois State Museum, Springfield, Springfield
- Date: Saturday, June 14, 2014, 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Families will journey through Illinois with the help of an interactive Adventure Guide and get their photo taken at the trip’s end. Children can also create a travel journal to take on their next trip, pack a suitcase for a trip, make postcard to send from the Museum, and create a one-of-a-kind photo holder – maybe as a gift for dad this Father’s Day!
Super Saturdays at the Illinois State Museum are designed for children 3-8 years old and are free and open to the public. Most activities can be completed in 30 to 45 minutes, although participants may stay as long as they wish. Parents are invited to participate with their children. For more information, call the Education Section at (217) 782-6044. Super Saturdays are sponsored by Bank of Springfield.
The Illinois State Museum inspires discovery and caring about Illinois’ cultural and natural resources and heritage.
