In the heart of the Wisconsin Dells you will find Timbavati Wildlife Park which is home to over 400 animals from 70 species. This highly interactive park allows you and your family to take a break from the hustle and bustle that vacations are known for and to have some one on one time with a variety of animals from those you will find on a local farm to others who could be only be found at the zoo or in the wild.
Visitors are encouraged to pet and of course feed the majority of the animals. Don't worry you do not have to bring your own food, they have carrots readily available throughout the park. You may also want to have a few quarters on hand for a little extra feed along the way.

This year Timbavati has added two new attractions to their park. A
spider monkey exhibit that has been made to look and feel more natural
therefore you will not find any toys such as tire swings as you may
expect.
The second is the Parakeet Exhibit which hands down was our families favorite stop and I feel confident that it will be yours as well. This enclosure houses over 100 parakeets that are hungry and waiting for you to stop by with a treat.
What I believe sets Timbavati Wildlife Park apart from similar parks is the amount of space they have to work with, in fact I was surprised to discover that the park was a former water park. Each exhibit has a generous amount of space allowing the animals maximum space and a adequate distance between exhibits.
It is obvious that the animals are cared for by a team of professionals who know how to interact with the animals. As a result they are eager for visitors to stop by and interact with them.
I have to point out one thing that amazed me about our visit, never once did we see as much as an "accident" in any of the enclosures and the straw beddings were all fresh even when we arrived late morning staying until early afternoon.
What is nice about Timbavati Wildlife Park is you can spend as little or as much time as your schedule allows. The staff can and will gladly answer all of your questions. It is also your choice if you wish to interact with them, but I do encourage allowing your kids the chance to feed them I am sure it is a memory they will treasure forever.
