Calling all Mortals, your assistance is needed to help free the four Wizards of Fire, Water, Air and Earth.
To do so you must be willing to accept the challenge know as the Wizard Quest, a world with a variety of challenges that will take the help of your entire team to complete. From solving puzzles, looking for clues, climbing, secret passages and so much more this adventure is perfect for the entire family.
Upon entering you are asked to accept a challenge where you will be asked to pick one of three Quests that best matches your teams skill level in order to set the four Wizards free.
- Easy Quest. This one is great if you have small children who want to mainly explore. You don't have to worry about answering questions, just looking for the Wizards.
- Medium Quest- You are given a cheat sheet to help you find the answers to the questions.
- Hard Quest- You do this by exploring the Realms and then answering questions about each realm into a computer which in turn gives you glimmers (points). When you have enough glimmers you can "FREE" the Wizards. This is a fun challenge but is not easy! If you love a challenge, then this one is for you.
As a family of three with a seven year old girl we made the decision to try the medium quest. After about twenty minutes of our daughter running around trying to find all the hidden passages, playing in the ball pit, going down the slides and everything else it was obvious that we would never be able to complete the Medium Quest so we returned to the desk and asked for the Easy Quest.
The Easy Quest took us throughout the property on a hide and seek mission into each of the four worlds to find and free the Wizards. For us Wizard Quest was about having family together more than completing a challenge so this mission was ideal for us.
I will admit I would have liked to have attempted the medium quest but I did not want to get in the way of all the fun our daughter was having exploring the property. We do expect to return and make a day of attempting the Hard Quest next summer, when she is a little older.
A few things worth mentioning (more info on the FAQ page):
- They open daily at 9am
- The quest will take around 90 minutes to complete
- There are some dark areas, but never complete darkness
- There is climbing, sliding, and several tight spaces to maneuver
- Be sure to take your time so you do not miss anything
- There is no need to be afraid, nothing will jump out at you or is scary
- Arrive early so you have time to explore before it is crowded
- I suggest that younger children consider closed toed shoes
One fun option that makes me wish we lived closer are the birthday parties packages they offer. They would be ideal for a group of kids who are old enough to explore without direct supervision and even adults who may want to have a team building exercise at work.
