Nothing
in life seems to be as serene as a baby sleeping. Their comfort is
almost contagious in a way and sometimes all a baby needs for a good
nights sleep is a little jazz. Dreams Are Made for Children
is a storybook and CD for children featuring songs from singing legends
Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Nat King Cole, Sarah Vaughan, and Chet
Baker, amongst others.
The
music was selected by Misja Fitzgerald Michel, a Paris-based jazz
musician, and noted illustrator Ilya Green created the colorful images
throughout the book. It features twelve songs from the golden age of
jazz, such as:
