When
I was growing up, Friday nights were spent playing board games, while
that isn't the case so much anymore, Many families still take part in
this tradition. Luckily, my sons are obsessed with board games, and
there is nothing I enjoy more than giving them games that are not only
fun but also designed with quality in mind. Blue Orange Games achieves both.
Founded
in 2000 in San Francisco, California, Blue Orange Games is driven to
spread the pleasure of connecting face to face with family and friends.
They want their games to be enjoyed by the family for years to come so
every game is easy to learn, builds skills, and is fun for all ages.
They also plant 2 trees for every one tree that is used in making their
games, some of their games are:
- Thumbs Up! - Its a race to scoop the loops! The goal of this game is to be the first to stack the different colored rings on your thumb, based on the order show on the challenge card. Its not as easy as you think! The challenge cards require each player to focus on numbers and color matching.
- Ring It! - Clap and Ring to victory! Players flip their cards until a combo is found. Be the first to find the combo, clap your hands and ring the bell. Careful though, hesitation can cost you first place and if you act too quickly you can face a penalty!
- Gobblet Gobblers - Test your memory with this game of strategy. Cartoonish wooden characters bring life to this tic-tac-toe style game. Simply line up three gobblers in a row to win. Watch out though! These gobblers are hungry for fun... and other gobblers. Easy to learn, and full of fun colors, this board game is sure to become a favorite.
