Orbeez Crushkins Giveaway

One of the hot items on our daughter's Christmas list this year are Orbeez kits.   She already has the remote controlled ladybug that goes around and picks up Orbeez and loves it.

Before I can tell you about their newest addition to the fun, Orbeez Crushkins, I need to tell you what an Orbeez is.   Orbeez's are super small little beads that when added to water swell to about the size of a pea and then can be played with in countless ways.

The newest addition to the fun is Orbeez Crush kits.  This kit take the water filled Orbeez crushes them and creates a gel like substance that can be turned into several crafts.   To me you have to see Orbeez to get the complete idea and this clip is the most informative one I have seen.



 We have put two Orbeez Crushkins kits to the test, Crush 'N Design Set and the Crushkins Safari kit.  Obviously this is not a craft you can just jump into, you must first give the beads time to grow.  I let them sit overnight in a bowl in the kitchen and they were ready the next morning.  The video suggests that with warm water the process can be cut down to two hours.

Once the Orbeez are ready you will place the colors of your choice into the crush tube and you are ready to get started.   Our daughter did not have any trouble with crushing them, but I would assume younger children may need a little help pushing down on the tube.

You then fill the frames to your liking, allow them to dry and display them however you would like.  The best part is you can wash them off when you want and start all over again.   Orbeeze suggests these kits for kids ages 5-12 and our daughter will be 8 this weekend loves hers.
