Christmas is full of traditions and few traditions have been around as long as "A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens. A classic book that has been made into both movies and cartoons and is enjoyed by many in live shows the world around. On top of that, the characters have become cultural touchstones. Many may have wondered what more there was to the story and now they have an answer. Charlie Lovett has picked up where Dickens left off and has created a perfect companion to the beloved classic with his book, "The Further Adventures of Ebenezer Scrooge".

The book picks up around twenty years after Ebenezer Scrooge was visited by three spirits on Christmas Eve, and since that day, he has made it his mission to spread Christmas cheer to all, much to the annoyance of London's general population. Even on the hottest of days he can be found greeting others with a heartfelt "Merry Christmas!" and no longer obsessed with money, he gives everything he has to those in need. One night, Scrooge is once again visited by his old business partner, Jacob Marley. Marley is in despair over the fact that he may never lose his chains, so Scrooge comes up with a plan to help him get rid of them for good. With the help of the very same ghosts that visited him before, Scrooge works to convince his new business partner that love and charity are not things to be confined to the holiday season alone. If he can get them to open their hearts and purses, Marley may be able to rid himself of the chains.

A sequel to a classic that is sure to become a favorite to classic book lovers and collectors alike, and will sit (on our shelves at least) right next to the classic that it follows. "The Further Adventures of Ebenezer Scrooge" by Charles Lovett will most likely become a new tradition in our household. Its the perfect gift, fitting for the season, and the perfect size for your book lovers stocking.
