When you have children you know how hard it can be to have a nice dinner with the family. They want fast food or buffets while you just want the chance to relax and enjoy a meal that does not involve pizza.
Olive Garden has figured out a way to entertain the kids and relax the parents at the same time. Their newest family experience "Little Italy Kids Night", brings fun to kids on Tuesday evenings from 5-8pm.
It begins when kids select their own meal by filling out the menu. Here kids choose an entree or can build their own pasta, pick a side and a drink. Once the ordering is done it is off to hang out with the Little Italy Ambassadors at the kids table.
Here kids are able to hang out with each other, make crafts such as building a car, creating some art with Wikki Stixs, and coloring a puzzle. This gave my husband and I a chance to spend a little time together and enjoy an appetizer, the entire time being close enough to see her to ensure she was having a good time and not causing any trouble.
Then of course the food arrives and the kids have to come back to the table, this did cause for a few comments like "I just need a minute to finish this project".
Tuesday night's event also comes with a free Zeppoli's for dessert. Your server will offer you a Little Italy Big-Shot punch card. Every time you visit the Olive Garden and order a kids meal you will receive on punch, however on Tuesday nights you will get two. When the card is full, four punches, the entire table will enjoy Zeppoli's not just the kids.
We enjoyed our night out as much as our daughter did. One thing I do encourage you to contact your local Olive Garden to see if they
are participating in "Little Italy Kids Night", this program is new and
right now only a handful have the activities.
