Destiny: The Collection

When it comes to video games, the more content you can get for your dollar, the better right? What's even better about deals like that is when the content belongs to a game that is high on your child's (or your own) Christmas list. I myself have a few video games that I've wanted to purchase and try my hand at. One of those games is Destiny. This year, and just in time for Christmas, the games developers have released Destiny: The Collection. The Collection features all of the games current DLC up to the most recent addition, Rise of Iron.

The Collection includes:

• The original Destiny game
• The Dark Below - the first expansion which included a higher level cap, new weapons, armor, and gear, as well as many new missions, arenas, a co-op strike, a raid and new tower character, Eris.
• House of Wolves - the second expansion which gave players a ton of new themed weapons, armor, and gear, including Legendary, Exotic, Faction, and Fallen themes, as well as House of Wolves themed emblems, armor shaders, and player ships. New quests, missions, public events, and a new social space The Reef. Also, new multiplayer maps, competitive eliminator mode.
• The Taken King - the 3rd available expansion, which includes new challenges and rewards such as new missions, locations, maps, gear, weaponry, and a new raid. As well as a character boost that instantly levels your chosen character to level 25. This expansion is also cited with improving the games overall systems and gameplay mechanics.
• Rise of Iron - This newest expansion includes a new item type: ornament. Ornaments allow you to change the appearance of one piece of gear that you already own (that way its not affected by a shader you may be using). New campaign missions that shed light on the background of Lord Saladin as an Iron Lord. New locations such as a new social area, new patrol zone, new strike, new 6-person raid, new crucible mode (and 3 new maps), and a new cooperative arena.

Destiny: The Collection is only available on the PS4 and Xbox One (not sure if that will change) but this offers a great opportunity to those who wish to upgrade to a next-gen console without having to pay quite as much as they would buying everything separately, and since buying the collection as a whole will save you money it makes a great Christmas gift for anyone on your list who would like the game.
