Kristin Chenoweth "Some Lessons Learned" CD Review

If you are a music fan, then I am sure you have heard or seen Kristin Chenoweth.  It seems as if she has been everywhere the last several years both as a singer and as an actress.  Her recent list of credits is impressive including on Broadway in Wicked and Promises Promises, on the TV shows Pushing Daisies and of course Glee as April Rhodes.  The irony is that her character on Glee took her life story to Broadway.

What is true about Kristin Chenoweth is that she has an amazing singing voice.  I have heard her perform classical pieces, Broadway show tunes and pop/rock songs on Glee.  The songs she sings on her new CD "Some Lessons Learned" is a good mix of country and pop. The CD was released by Sony Masterworks.  It was recorded in Nashville and you can definitely hear that distinct sound on some of the songs.  She wrote a couple of the songs herself, but also performs songs from some other great pop and country writers.  She also has legendary writer Diane Warren writing some songs for her.  As I said, her voice sounds great on uptempo country songs like "I Want Somebody" and "What More Do You Want" and then very emotional and gentle on "Fathers and Daughters" and "Change".

"Some Lessons Learned" is out now for you to purchase, it was released September 13th.  You can pick up the CD on Amazon for only $9.99. The MP3 download is also available for $9.99.

Thanks to Sony Masterworks for the CD for this review.  Opinions are honest.
